Most services that are provided through the Older American's Act or information and help with addressing long term care needs can be accessed through your local Area Agency on Aging (AAA). Follow the link to the left to a list of all of Indiana's 16 agencies and their contact information. This phone number will direct you to your closest AAA.

Looking for programs you might qualify for?

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) hosts an on-line resource to help anyone find information about federal, state, local and private programs that may help pay for prescription drugs, utility bills, meals, health care and other needs. Be sure to check this resource out. You will get a printable list of programs with contact information. This site contains information and resources for all 50 states and the Distric of Columbia.


Problems applying for Medicaid or SNAP (food stamps)? Lost your benefits?

Indiana’s newest assistance eligibility system has been launched in 91 counties in the state. Marion County will launch in early 2012. If you, a relative or a friend has lost Medicaid benefits or Food Stamps or you just can't figure out this new system, hold on to your applications, rejection notices and your stories. We want to hear your story and connect you to people who can fix the system.
